Job summary

Applications are invited for a Junior Clinical Fellow post in Neonatal Medicine at ST1-3 (Senior House Officer) level.

The post is based in the large tertiary medico-surgical neonatal unit at the Royal London Hospital. It comes with an active academic programme and opportunities to participate in high-quality audit and quality improvement projects. Clinical Fellows have the same opportunities to participate in the educational programmes, training and teaching undertaken by the Deanery approved specialist training doctors. The work schedule is a full shift system subject to regular compliance monitoring.

Main duties of the job

This post comes with excellent working, educational and research collaborations within and beyond Barts Health Trust. Fellows will develop skills in clinical and operational decision-making and team and safety management, thereby aiding the transition to work as a senior clinician. The post also has opportunities to enhance leadership, communication, network oversight and strategic planning skills in a team culture tuned to safety, human factors and principles of crisis resource management.
