Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow in Dermatology to join the dermatology team at The Royal London Hospital, Bart's Health NHS Trust. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual wishing to further their clinical experience in dermatology.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with the clinical teams within the Barts Health NHS Trust.

The successful candidate must have MBBS/ or equivalent qualification and GMC registration, have had SHO experience in General Medicine and have participated in audit and governance activities, be a good communicator and have exceptional organisation skills. Attention to detail and the ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously is essential.

The post is based at the The Royal London Hospital, but the post holder is expected to travel to other hospital sites within Barts Health NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job

The specialist registrars/ clinical fellows will be responsible for the day-to-day care of inpatients and out-patients as well as participating in the out of hours on-call rota.

They will also be responsible for seeing referrals from other specialists in the hospitals. Administrative duties will include the regular dictation of clinic letters, discharge summaries and participation in medical audit and governance.

All junior staff will have a responsibility towards the teaching of medical students and maybe requested to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
