Job summary
The department is supported at non-Consultant level by 15 ST 4-8 (Registrar) doctors working on a hybrid 2-Tier Full-Shift rota, 8 ST 1-2 level doctors, 6 Clinical Nurse Specialists and one Physician Associate.
There is a dedicated in-house Consultant led Neurosurgical teaching programme, and successful applicants will be supported in their broader professional and career development, particularly with reference to eventually obtaining FRCS (SN) and CESR. The successful candidate must be fully GMC registered with a license to practice, have prior experience in Neurosurgery at ST1-2 Level or equivalent and have completed the MRCS Exam in full.

The Royal London Hospital benefits from close links with The Blizard Institute which is part of Queen Mary University of London where there is a dedicated trauma science centre and a dedicated neuroscience centre specializing in, among other things, head injury, spinal cord injury and neuro-inflammation.
Main duties of the job

1 Resident Full-Shift On-Call (12 hours)
2 General Neurosurgical Clinics per week
3 sessions of Elective Neurosurgical operating per week
4 Inpatient Ward-Rounds
