An exciting opportunity has arisen for band 2 Health Care Support Workers in the Renal Medicine, Transplantation & Urology units at Royal London, Barts Health within the Medicine Division.
Working closely with the nursing team the post holder will become a member of the department who implements prescribed care and undertakes administrative activities as directed by a registered nurse and senior nursing team.
You will be expected to:
- provide direct assistance to registered nursing staff when required, safely, utilising electronic and mechanical/ manual equipment.
- Undertake and record clinical activities and observations, as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be flexible and reliable
Main duties of the job
The Nursing Assistant works under the direction / supervision of qualified nurses to plan and prioritize patient care. In addition the Nursing Assistant is proactive in monitoring and anticipating patients' needs within the boundaries of the Job Description.
