Job summary
We are looking to recruit an outstanding and highly committed full-time permanent member of staff to join our busy and buoyant team and be able to use their own initiative. This is a fast-paced department requiring a proactive individual. The job will entail working with other Senior Payroll Administrators with a wide range of payroll administration. Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential. You will also need to be flexible, have an appreciation of the confidential nature of the work and be able to manage a workload to meet pre-determined targets.
Main duties of the job
Payroll Services provides services to Barts Health and other NHS organisations and associated organisations. The Senior Payroll Administrator is responsible for the production of payrolls, including client payrolls, and carries responsibility for:
i) planning and organising workload to ensure payroll is delivered ontime;ii) accurate and timely production of weekly and monthly payrolls withoutsupervision;iii) compliance with complex statutory requirements to ensure employerobligations are met;iv) application of complex and various terms and conditions ofemployment;v) compliance with organisation policies and procedures includingStanding Financial Instructions;vi) investigation and resolution of payroll enquiries and discrepancies;vii) providing advice and assistance to clients;viii) supporting the Assistant Payroll Manager in staff induction, training and development.
