ACHA Administrative Support Officer

Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join a brand new team within the new Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing (ACHA).

The new research centre is hosted at Whipps Cross Hospital, and anchored to the Barts Health ambition to transform Whipps Cross to become a world class centre of excellence for frailty,

While the NHS has implemented policy and practice changes to improve care and support provision, there are gaps in research and knowledge that hinder the effectiveness of these changes. To help address these gaps, ACHA is taking a unique and innovative approach by placing research on the front line of local health and care services to create a 'living laboratory' for Healthy Ageing Research.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to fulfil this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, along with strong IT and administrative skills, attention to detail and the ability to use own initiative to solve problems and improve office efficiency. Candidates should ideally have general knowledge of the NHS.

If you are interested in this role and want to talk further about the post and your experience, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Lauren Ellis, ACHA Director, via lauren.ellis8@nhs.net

Main duties of the job

The Administrative Support Officer will be an active and enthusiastic member of the ACHA team, responsible for providing high quality, comprehensive and proactive administrative support to the ACHA Centre Manager, ACHA Director and Members of the ACHA Board of Directors. This includes managing communication, diaries and meeting management, and the collection, input and management of records and documentation.
