Job summary
The Children's Hospital within the Royal London is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced nurse into a band 7 ward manager on the Gastroenterology ward, in this diverse and dynamic part of London. Based in a tertiary referral centre, we see a range of conditions and patients ranging from 0-18 years old.
Working alongside the Multi-Disciplinary Team, you will be responsible for the overall management of the ward, managing the ward budget with guidance from the matron and on-going performance review of the nursing staff in line with trust values.
The successful candidate must be a registered children's nurse with excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate experience at a senior/charge nurse level. Extensive experience of caring for patients with common paediatric gastroenterological disorders is required. Excellent clinical and management skills, knowledge of creating and managing rosters are also necessary for the role.
