The department has established links and collaborations with the Primary Care Research Networks (PCRNs) and Central and East London Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) to conduct clinical trials
Main duties of the job
The post is a part-time locum post in pain medicine. It is based at St Bartholomew's Hospital (SBH), Mile End Hospital (MEH), and in community pain clinics in East London. The post holder will be an employee of Barts Health and depending on the appointee's qualifications, there may be concurrent opportunities (additional PAs) to work within the anaesthetic department at The Royal London Hospital (RLH) or one of the other hospitals in the Barts Health group.
This is a general post in pain medicine. The appointee must be able to work flexibly and be able to cover all the pain therapy provided at Barts Health. We are looking for a generalist who can make a positive contribution to the pain management programme at SBH and community pain clinic in Newham, but individual special interests based on existing clinical experience and expertise can be further developed (e.g. ultrasound guided interventions).
Applicants should possess full GMC registration with licence to practice, and either be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of receiving their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at the time of interview
About us
Our WeCare values shape everything that we do, every single day. They are visible in every interaction we have with each other, our patients, their families and our partners.
WeCare about everything from the appointment letters our patients receive, to the state of our facilities when they walk through the door, to the care and compassion they receive when they are discharged. WeCare that the people who join our trust will hold the same values as we do, so our values are embedded within our recruitment and selection processes. WeCare that you feel valued working here, so our values also guide our training and development and performance and talent management. WeCare about working with suppliers that live and breathe our values too.
We have come a long way on our journey to delivering safe and compassionate care. By embracing these values as the way we behave around here, we will achieve our ambition for excellence.
