An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Sustainable Travel Officer position within the Joint Sustainability and Net Zero Team of the Barts Health NHS Trust (Barts Health) and Barking, Havering, and Redbridge University Hospital NHS Trust (BHRUT).
BHRUT & Barts Health are major providers of acute healthcare in North East London. Main duties of the job
The Sustainable Travel Officer will be responsible for.
- Liaising with a wide range of Trust staff, Private Finance Initiative (PFI), Total Facility Manager (TFM) and other contractors on the installation and management of initiatives, facilities, and infrastructures that support sustainable and active travel.
- Collating, monitoring, analysing, and reporting Barts Health and BHRUT's travel and transportation data and performances.
- Coordinating sustainable travel and clean air awareness campaigns across all sites of BHRUT and Barts Health via available resources including intranet, staff newsletters, social media, events, campaigns, and workshops. Support international, national, and local events including Bike Week, Walking Month and Cycle to Work Day.
- Collaborating with external stakeholders and partners on air quality, air pollution, sustainable and active travel initiatives that are linked with national and local agenda, standards, and regulations.
- Develop and deliver active and sustainable travel training sessions across all sites of BHRUT and Barts Health.
- Whenever required, deputise for the Sustainability and Carbon Manager or the Head of Net Zero and Sustainability as well as undertake any other duties, which are commensurate with the role.
