Associate Director of Site Operations - Newham University Hospital
Full time - Band 8d
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Associate Director of Site Operations will lead the clinical site operations function, working closely with the four clinical divisions to effectively coordinate site operations and service delivery to ensure the highest quality patient care, patient experience and operational performance at all times. The post-holder will play a key role in improving our management of key resources (beds, workforce and capacity) and our coordinated response to a broad variety of predictable and unpredictable pressures, ensuring that clinical quality, patient experience, efficiency and operational performance are the core-focus of daily operational management and planning across our hospital sites.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and developing the trust site management strategy and site operations function (teams, pathways and processes);
- Leading NUH's discharge team and ensuring efficient and high quality discharge planning;
- Ensuring an effective daily rhythm and structure of site management operations and trust-wide escalation policy and practice both in and out of hours;
- Ensuring effective reporting and communication regarding site management status, required service responses and associated performance;
- Leading emergency planning for the site and ensuring effective preparation for major incidents and other business continuity demands;
- Leading and coordinating the management of incidents and planned works across divisions and sites, working with infrastructure teams including facilities, estates and IT/digital; and
- Working with divisional and estates teams to provide both expert advice and implementation leadership regarding site master planning and clinical site reconfiguration projects.

- o In-depth knowledge in a number of management disciplines acquired through training and experience to degree level or equivalent.
