Job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a current 8a or an experienced band 7Cardiac Physiologist/Scientist to further their career at St Bartholomew'sHospital.

Barts Health Trust is currently the largest NHS Trust in England andencompasses four hospitals based in the centre and East of London. The Trust is comprised of the Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomew's Hospital, The Royal London, Whipps Cross and Newham University Hospitals. We also help provide cardiac physiology services at University College London Hospital.

We are currently seeking a forward thinking, dynamic and motivatedindividual to support the Principal Cardiac Physiologist in managing theoutpatient arrhythmia device services across Barts Health. They will workalongside a remote follow-up deputy manager and education and invasivearrhythmia deputy manager, all supporting the Principal.

Main duties of the job

The post will comprise of clinical and management responsibilities withexpertise in cardiac rhythm management being essential. You should haveexperience in all types of non-invasive cardiac physiology.

There is opportunity within this post to drive forward and support specialistdevice clinics and the development of physiologist led services. This postwill also have responsibility for delivery of device services at network services and standardising the care provided across the Trust.

St Barts is a 10-lab cardiology service with 5 of these operating in EP anddevices, and 5 in intervention. We also run 6 device follow-up rooms at StBarts, satellite device clinics at Whipps and Newham, and one of thelargest remote monitoring services in the Europe. There are 10 echo roomsincluding specialist services of stress echo and TOE. There is a significantGUCH echo and EP service
