Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our dynamic team providing acute GIM and Geriatric Medicine services to the people of Newham. This post will be available fromOctober 2021 - October 2022.

Newham University Hospital is a district general hospital with a major undergraduate teaching role, serving one of the most ethnically diverse populations in the UK.

The Care of the Elderly Department has an age related policy for medical admissions, with ongoing care of medical emergencies in patients aged 75 years and above. This is in association with General Medical (all ages) on call commitment in the form of an integrated on-call rota and the Geriatrician consultants also provide the majority input into the Medical Admissions Team. The department also provides Stroke, Orthogeriatrics and a variety ofcommunity services.
