Job summary

Are you an experienced band 6 midwife who is passionate about delivering high, quality care, along with achieving the highest possible patient experience? Then we want to hear from you as we have several opportunities available within our Maternity Services for Band 6 Midwives. Full and part time hours are considered.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic midwife to join our maternity services at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust. To provide a comprehensive midwifery care in acute and primary health care setting within the model of care practised in the maternity services. To provide the highest standard of individualised and holistic patient care, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

At Barts Health NHS Trust our local community is home to families from a diverse mix of ethnicity, social challenge and health needs. We provide Maternity Services to approximately 5400 women a year and accommodate our women in very modern up to date facilitates. We have a level 3 Neonatal unit situated within the hospital as well as excellent facilities in Fetal Medicine. We are baby friendly hospital with fully accreditation by UNICEF Baby friendly initiatives since 2012. The maternity staff are also skilled and able to support parents who chose to formula feed their babies in a sensitive and effective manner to ensure informed decision.

To provide personalized care and support to all women accessing our services within the community for antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. The post hoder, is expected to be able to facilitate evidenced based informed choice, as well as respect for their decision at every stage of the pregnancy journey regardless of medical needs or otherwise.
