Band 6 Senior Community Staff Nurse

12-months secondment

We are looking to appoint a Band 6 Senior Community Staff Nurse into our friendly and supportive team. You must have effective communication and negotiation skills. As an advocate for our patients you need to have the ability to inspire people at all levels. This post would require that you had an understanding of the expanding role of community nursing and would have the commitment to take it forward. You will need a sound understanding of the current primary care agenda, with excellent communication skills and effective leadership and decision making skills. You will need to be innovative and able to work autonomously whilst promoting a positive and supportive learning environment for team members and students. This would be an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skills in supporting the team leader.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder is responsible for the ongoing assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation ofprogrammes of care.

The post holder will carry out all relevant forms of care and will take responsibility for caseload holders in their absence. The management of the work area, clinical caseload, Including supervision and development of staff.
