Job summary
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and motivated individual with an interest in specialty medicine, which includes Haematology/Oncology. We are a progressive, forward thinking Nursing Team, always striving to provide the highest level of care to our patients. The interested applicant should have completed a SACT passport with a relevant qualification, have extensive oncology/haematology knowledge and be aware of treatments/side effects. You should be familiar with the UKONs passport and be competent in the management of triage calls via the helpline. You will need to demonstrate an awareness of evidence based practice and a commitment to providing an excellent patient experience. The successful candidates should have recent experience of working within an acute care setting, excellent written and verbal communication skills and IT literate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the management of the Nursing Unit/Department during the shift, including the organisation of the Nursing Unit/Department activities and the management of staff and resources. The post holder will support the Lead Nurse and Matron in developing and monitoring services and the quality of care experienced by patients.
