Job summary
The primary responsibility of the post holder will be to provide direct leadership and support to the MDT Co-ordinators and 2ww Team, including the organisation and management the members of staff, ensuring cover arrangements are in place and ensuring that multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) and the 2ww Team are run to a consistently high standard. Ensure that data quality needs to meet national requirements for Cancer Waiting Times, Quality Surveillance and COSD.
In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the management of national speciality audits.
The post holder will support with the delivery of both national and local targets and initiatives, managing and co-ordinating the work of the MDT co-ordinators and 2WW Team in terms of their contribution and provide management support for the Lead Cancer Manager and Assistant Cancer Manager.
Main duties of the job
- Directly line manage booking team, Patient Trackers and MDT Co-ordinators
- Liase with Cancer Management Team highlighting any issues with patient pathways
- Manage staff rotas ensuring cover is provided to all tumour sites during annual leave.
- Monitor Patient Tracking Lists working with co-ordinators and trackers ensuring patients are being progressed through their pathway in a timely manner working towards best timed practice pathways.
