Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Children's Outpatients Department within The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. You will be part of a team providing high quality care to our Children and Young People. This is a 12 months fixed term post for 18 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Support Worker will work together with members of the Nursing / Children's Services team and contribute to the implementation of a high standard and individualised patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
The post holder will be required to communicate effectively with other members of the health care team, patients and relatives and must be able to recognise and report to the appropriate person any changes in the patient's condition which may require the intervention of others.
The post holder will communicate to the Team Leader any clinic administrative/organisational problems that impact upon the smooth running of clinics and/or the patient pathway through the outpatient service.
The post holder will be assessed on appointment on their level of competence and required as part of the Trusts training and development programme for clinical support workers to undertake a structured pathway of development to include basic skills and in house development programme.
