Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Dudley Rehabilitation Service (DRS), for an individual to support the Parkinson's service as a Parkinson's Administrator.

This is a great opportunity to work with a well established and high functioning admin team, to enable the specialist community teams to work effective and efficiently. The post holder will be working closely with physios, OTs, speech therapists, and nurses as well as liaising with patients and other services on a daily basis.

The post is part time time (30 hours) Monday to Friday, based at Stourbridge Health and social Care Centre.

The admin teams provide an important and integral part of the day to day running of DRS, managing its referrals, patient phone calls, booking patient appointments and completing clinic letters.

You will be a part of small team of administrators; you will be an adaptable and confident team member, who possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be resilient and enjoy working in a busy environment.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to:

  • To provide comprehensive efficient clerical and administrative support, to the clinical multi-disciplinary teams within Dudley Rehabilitation Service (DRS).
  • To obtain information from Health Care Professionals as required by patients and staff.
  • To communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure that high quality care is provided.
  • To work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving on the high standard of care within The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.
