Job summary
We are looking to expand our team of Reporting Radiographers in CTC Reporting, supporting a developing service. You will be working as part of a friendly team of Radiographers within CT, working alongside rotational staff at Russells Hall Hospital and the Guest Outpatient Centre.
DGFT supports the national bowel cancer screening programme and are actively encouraging staff development to align with the national training programme for CTC radiographer training.
Our service is due to expand with additional capability plan. The departments are currently equipped with three state-of-the-art scanners, with an additional newly launched Siemens CT scanner expected to arrive to Guest outpatient centre later this year.

We are a very busy multi skilled department, mainly based at Russell's Hall Acute Hospital, with some shifts at both the Guest and Corbett outpatient departments. You may be expected to take part in any shift systems in operation and Bank Holiday, on-call services as required, supervising and assisting other out of hours support staff, including clerical staff and radiographic aides.
Applicants must hold the Diploma of the College of Radiographers or a Degree in Radiography, be HCPC Registered and must hold a post graduate certificate in Advanced Practice in CT Colonography
Main duties of the job
To provide senior oversight in your specified modality
To perform high quality diagnostic examinations
To independently clinically evaluate the information gained
Recording relevant images and issuing a written report of the examination findings
Supporting service improvement within CTC service
Providing training and mentoring to new trainees and learners within CT and clinical reporting
