Continence Nurse Team Leader.
Permanent-37.5 Hours
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our continence Team with Dudley Community Services.
We are looking for dynamic team leader to lead the service and who is committed to delivering high standards of care and to support the continence team. You will be responsible for promoting continence and management of incontinence for patients on your own caseload and for assessing, planning and evaluating treatment programmes for patients in clinics and home settings. You will also be expected to take part in education events, e.g. other health professionals, social care providers and voluntary agencies.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve line management responsibility to junior members of the team; the provision of clinical advice, assessment and support for patients with continence issues.
We are seeking someone who is committed and caring, with the experience to facilitate and deliver the provision of high quality nursing care to patients with Continence issues, The successful candidate will have a dynamic and positive attitude towards the continued development of the continence service and will work as part of an established multi-disciplinary team, including allied healthcare professionals, community nurses, specialist nurses, GP's and Urology Consultants.

Essential
- First level Registered Nurse / AHP. HCPC registered.
- Possess a degree or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of formal Leadership / Managerial Training and Development
- Evidence of continued professional development with courses relevant to area of work (continence).
- Member of professional body
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Ability to communicate highly complex information where there may be barriers to understanding
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Ability to exercise independent judgement
- Evidence of leadership / management qualities
- Evidence of teaching / supervision skills
- Knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines and NHS guidelines.
- Demonstrates up to date evidence based clinical trends in relation to continence.
- Computer literate - ability to use software programmes designed to maximise the contribution to the post
- Advanced clinical reasoning skills in deciding appropriate interventions.

- Experience at working as a Band 6 in a continence team.
