Job summary
Due to the expansion of CT services at DGFT, we are seeking a Specialist Advanced GI Radiographer to develop our GI CT service.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform and report on images within diagnostic imaging, provide a responsive, high quality service to all referrers, ensuring they reflect best practice and are guided by Trust policies and guidelines.
The role involves performing and reporting on CT Colonography. These examinations are specialised and not normally undertaken by Radiographers.
Use highly developed specialist knowledge and training to master's level plus practical experience to interpret report and diagnose a wide range of conditions. Cases are often highly complex, requiring analysis, interpretation and differentiation where there may be no definitive diagnosis.
The role will be prominent within the Diagnostic Imaging department; the post holder will support the delivery objectives of the department and be responsive to changes in policy both nationally and locally within the NHS.
Provide professional advice and expertise to all members of the multidisciplinary team and be recognised and accessible as an expert in their specified field. Promote best practice and disseminate knowledge to the profession and to a wider health care arena.
To be responsible for developing, monitoring and reviewing of GI pathways at DGFT and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure pathways are streamlined.

The post holder will work at a strategic level to lead on GI CT service at DGFT.
The post holder will provide operational and programme management of identified functions, leading delivery of required outcomes within appropriate governance and assurance, monitoring progress, and managing risks and issues to ensure successful programme delivery.The post holder will be expected to produce reports, documents for presentation at Departmental Governance and other forums where appropriate e.g. Black Country ICS, regional AHP Council meetings, WMIN, NCTCTAP, BSGAR, Cancer Alliance Forums
