Job summary
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, busy NHS hospital Pharmacy. You will be supported in a structured training programme across different areas of the department to learn new skills and knowledge in order to achieve an NVQ level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills. Start dates either April or September 2024
Hours of work will be on a rotational basis; based on 7.5hrs daily between the hours of 8 am and 7.30pm weekdays In addition the candidate must be able to participate in the rota for the weekend and Bank Holiday service provision.
National Apprentice wage for first 12 months. Final 6 months, minimum wage for age
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be trained to work in at least two areas of the Pharmacy. The areas of rotation will be agreed prior to starting the role. A structured, competency based training scheme will support the apprentice to achieve the NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills, Educational provider is Walsall college .
Work will be supported by the provision of clear standard operating procedures and under the guidance of Senior Pharmacy Technician in each area to compile a portfolio of evidence.
