Job summary

We are looking for a HCPC registered Podiatrist, with a degree/diploma in Podiatric Medicine. You must be able to demonstrate sufficient post graduate experience and practice.

This role requires a wide clinical background, including a special emphasis on the care to patients at risk who suffer from metabolic, vascular or neurological disorders,

Based in the Community, you will work both as part of a team and independently in Community Sites, Health Centres, Hospital, care centres and patients' homes.

As part of team you will be working closely with the Lead Podiatrist, other Podiatrists, together with forging close links with Specialist Diabetes Podiatrists, Tissue Viability and Diabetic Nurses, Diabetic & Vascular Consultants, and GP's among others.

You must be able to commute to meet the needs of the role.

Main duties of the job

To provide professional, high quality podiatric interventions to patients with assessed medical and podiatric needs.

To maintain and develop personal & professional Diabetes and Wound Care skills.

To work under the supervision of the Diabetes and Wound Care Lead Podiatrist to manage a Wound care caseload

To support the Diabetes and Wound Care Lead Podiatrist to develop the Podiatry Wound Care service.

Manage and prioritise own clinical caseload of patients.

Work as part of the multidisciplinary team and to act as a source of advice and guidance to patients, carers and other health care workers
