The Trainee Nursing Associate Apprenticeship is a 2 year training course that is being offered in collaboration with our Higher Education Institutes.
This work based apprenticeship provides the opportunity to develop both professionally and academically in order to register with the Nursing Midwifery Council as a qualified Nurse Associate.

Main duties of the job
This is a developmental role. The trainee will work towards progression into the post of Nursing Associate through successful completion of the Nursing Associate training programme which includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualification. They will develop and maintain knowledge, skills and competencies related to the role of Nursing Associate within the service and through completion of the Nursing Associate training programme which includes working in care settingsand delivery of person-centred care.
The Nursing Associate training programme combines and integrates both academic and work-based learning through close collaboration between employers and Higher Education Institutes. A trainee Nursing Associate will be based, as an employee, in the Trust, in a specific setting, but will experience working in alternative settings in order that they gain a wide appreciation of many health and care contexts and areable to fulfil all the requirements of the programme.

Essential
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above or a Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent in Maths
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above or a Functional Skills Level 2 equivalent in English
- A Levels (minimum grade C), NVQ level 3, BTEC National Diploma Access to HE Diploma Or other equivalent level 3 qualifications
- Care certificate
- Willingness to work towards a Registered Nurse Associate qualification level 5, set out by our external education providers.

- Presently working and has experience in an acute care setting as a Clinical Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant
