Job summary
The Community Diagnostic Centres for Dudley aim to incorporate Imaging (Plain X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI +/- mammography and DEXA scanning), a range of cardiorespiratory investigations including echocardiography, ECG and rhythm monitoring, blood pressure monitoring, spirometry, FeNO, lung function tests, simple field tests, sleep studies, oximetry, blood gas analysis and pathology services in a "one stop" location to obtain diagnostic information in cancer, cardiac, respiratory, musculo-skeletal and other conditions The purpose of this role is to support the Lead Pharmacist for Imaging and diagnostics and Principal Pharmacist Medicines Governance to deliver a safe and effective, patient centred medicines management service. To be a role model for staff by actively promoting multidisciplinary team working between Pharmacy staff and those working in the Imaging and diagnostics department.
Main duties of the job
Provide medicines management leadership for Community Diagnostic Centres and Imaging. Support Imaging and Diagnostic leads in meeting Divisional and strategic objectives for medicines management. Work cohesively with Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician for Surgery, Women and Children (SWC), Medicines and Integrated Care (MIC) and Medicines and Acute Care (MAC) . To work collaboratively with the Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technicians for SWC, MIC, MAC and the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Medicines Governance by being involved in projects or initiatives that seek out new opportunities for optimising medicines management across Community Diagnostic Centres and Imaging. Manage and develop the performance of support staff for members of the imaging and diagnostic team by providing leadership, supervision, education and training for medicines management
