Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our team working 37.5 hours per week in our busy Payroll Department as a Payroll Administrator, based at Corbett Hospital in Stourbridge.

This is a great role for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and conscientious team player. Although a demanding and challenging role, it is varied and rewarding, providing an excellent Payroll service to all employees of the Trust on both a weekly and monthly basis.

The role would suit candidates with excellent communication and organisation skills, together with the ability to work under pressure, in order to meet tight deadlines.

Main duties of the job

To administer the Trusts electronic expenses and payslip database systems and provide training to staff where necessary. To provide support for the payroll section in specified technical aspects of payroll work, including processing payroll data using the ESR computer system. Responsible for the preparation, calculation, and administration of a section of weekly and monthly payroll allocation.

The scope of this job will include the following:

  1. Knowledge and application of NHS and Statutory Regulations to the allocated weekly and monthly staff payments.
  2. Requirement to work at high level of concentration with frequent interruptions.
  3. Plans and prioritises own workload to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
  4. High level of accuracy required
