Clinical Fellow in Urogynaecology

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust to appoint a specialty Doctor in Urogyanecology. There is no on call commitment. The candidate will be required to participate in research, Audit and other quality enhancing projects within the department. The post holder must be aspiring to have career in urogynaecology .
Main duties of the job
The post is suitable for candidates looking for their competencies in Urogynaecology and subjected to approval complete ATSM in Urogynaecology, Trainees looking for out of program experience in urogynaecology and Post CCT doctor looking to further enhance their training in Urogyanecology.
The applicant will attend general clinics, urogyanecology clinics, MDMs and theatres, ambulatory services. The applicant will be attached to urogyanecology team (Mr Gupta and Miss Zakaryan)- Please see provisional time table below: subject to change. Post Holder is expected to learn and get certified in Urodynamics and run independent urodynamic clinics.
Admin time is allocated and post holder is expected to coordinate MDT both local , combined with urologist, and Regional MDT and Post MDT actions, Patient related admin with triaging of referrals, Advice and Guidance, patient queries, Investigation results and Update BSUG database.
Post Holder will be expected to do Audits, update guidelines, Patient information leaflets and other academic activities.
With Introduction of Robotic surgery at DVH, post holder will get experience in working in Robotic Theatres with Urogynaecology team.

The Delivery Suite has 2 operating theatres, 2 recovery beds, 2 low risk delivery room, and a total of 10 delivery rooms. The obstetric department has expanded greatly in recent years following the closure of the maternity unit at Queen Marys Hospital, Sidcup. We delivered 4900 deliveries in 2018. There are 40 beds for antenatal and postnatal care.
There is 87 hour Consultant Delivery Suite cover with built-in prospective cover for Consultant absence. This is achieved with a hot week system during which a single Consultant covers the Delivery Suite during the day time from Monday to Friday.
There is a co-located MLU (Midwifery Led Unit), which is across the corridor from the Delivery Suite. It has 4 delivery rooms, birthing pools and a friendly and homely environment.
