Job summary
We are thrilled to offer a permanent post for a Service Manager in our Radiology Directorate within the Women's, Children's, Radiology, and Outpatients (WCRO) Division. This role is designed as an excellent opportunity, providing valuable hands-on experience in managing radiology services.
The position involves operational and strategic responsibilities, ensuring you will gain well-rounded skills in service management. It is ideal for those seeking to expand their experience and grow their careers within the NHS with the support of a collaborative and dedicated team.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be responsible for communicating a range of service specific information verbally and in a range of written formats to the clinical, administrative and divisional management teams.
They will communicate operational and service information, plans and updates to clinical teams they work with; the divisional management team and have the ability to explain service related information that might be confidential or sensitive.
The post holder will be able to communicate with people on a 1 to 1 basis and/or in groups
Acting as the first point of contact for all general enquiries from outside agencies, the post holder must develop and maintain a good overall knowledge of service issues.
The post holder will be responsible for communicating with the service teams and will require tact, empathy and a high level of personal motivation will be required.
