Job summary

The post holder will work independently as a member of the nursing team in the Endoscopy decontamination area, following agreed plans of care pathways.You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the endoscopy equipment. They will provide support for the Registered Nursing staff in maintaining a stable and safe clinical environment. The post holder will work as part of the Multi-disciplinary team ensuring that patient care is non-discriminatory,non-prejudicial, and of a high standard. They will provide a calm, supportive and welcoming atmosphere to all patients.

This position will not be supported for visa sponsorship. All applicants are expected to have valid right to work document to work in the UK when applying for this position.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting endoscopy equipment following established protocols and guidelines.

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition.

Maintain accurate records of decontamination processes,equipment maintenance and inventory.

Work closely with the endoscopy team to ensure timely availability of decontaminated equipment.

Maintain accurate documentation, as guided by Registered Nurse using both paper and computer based systems,ensuring that particular attention is given to the WHO safety checklist.
