Job summary
The post holder will have overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Digital Information Systems of the trust wide RIS, PACS, IEP and other integrated software systems.
The successful candidate is expected to review and assess the provision of the current service and staffing within the Trust. The post holder will be expected to manage and develop the PACS team at Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust to ensure that there is continuity of service at all times for all of its sites within the DGT footprint.
The role includes planning and overseeing:
PACS/RIS related systems
PACS/RIS data integrity/quality
Development of the PACS/RIS system
User training
Delivery of data reports
Representing DGT within K & M and SE London (Bexley) ICS
Management of the PACS/RIS team
The post holder is expected to work autonomously and exercise initiative within the scope of the role along with working with the imaging department, and the digital team.
Main duties of the job
1.1 Provide detailed and complex analysis and reports on Radiology data, presenting it in several different formats using several methods of delivery, when required.
1.2 Present analysis and findings to small or large groups, when required.
1.3 Attend departmental and regional meetings when required.
1.4 Act as Chair and Deputy Chair for the PACS, AI and RIS user group as required.
1.5 Provide professional leadership and management of all current and future Radiology PACS and IT Systems. Including Sectra, CRIS, Communicator, iCRIS, Behold AI, Brainomix, Little CRIS, Sectra AI Toolbox and Mobile CRIS.
1.6 Ensure that the service delivery is information governance, patient and safety focused and of the highest quality.
1.7 Collaborate in the formation of new standards of operating procedures, policies and initiatives to improve current service delivery across all sites and aid in development of new services.
