Job summary

We are recruiting a key leadership role in our Womens Health team. Are you a highly experienced clinician who is committed to delivering outstanding care, continuous quality improvement and ready to lead across DGTGynaecology services?

The Clinical Services Manager for Womens Health will be instrumental in modernizing the operational delivery of assigned service areas, aligning with the Trust's strategic direction.

The successful post holder will work directly with the Director of Midwifery and Gynaecology and divisional triumvirate. Collaborating with clinical teams, they will integrate clinical standards into transformational initiatives and achieve the necessary efficiencyin ensuring a safe high quality service and outstanding patient experience.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will provide strong professional and clinical leadership to services/departments within the Gynaecology setting. They will work closely with Operational Managers, other clinical leads and the Clinical Director for the division. Together they will proactively seek out operational problems and propose innovative, cost effective and efficient solutions to improve the delivery of care and the patient care experience within the Gynaecology setting.

The post holder will be responsible for all clinical aspects of Gynaecology for Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, both at Darent Valley Hospital and at Queen Mary's Hospital sites. This will include the delivery of a high quality service and day-to-day clinical elements of the Gynaecology inpatient and outpatient services.

Working closely with the Clinical Director and Service Manager for Gynaecology, the Clinical Service Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the service is developed in line with national guidelines, including the national Women's Health Strategy, GIRFT standards and transformation requirements for Gynaecology as set out in the Further Faster Programme Guidebook.

Job responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the management of patient pathways within and across new and existing services to ensure safe patient management and flow of services.
  • Provide guidance, support and leadership to all nursing staff and facilitate the development of nursing practice, to ensure excellent nursing and patient care.
