Job summary

To develop, implement and maintain office practices and procedures in line with DGT Radiology and Trust procedures. To carry out a range of administrative tasks, supporting the Admin and clerical lead and Radiology Op manager, and to give leadership to the A&C team on both sites. To prioritise and support appropriately, organise and implement appropriate actions supporting the A&C Lead. To use initiative and 'act up' into the radiology admin and clerical lead post when required.

The successful applicant will act as a Senior Supervisor to the admin and clerical Team.

The post is based cross-site, with the successful candidate, working at all sites covered by D& G trust including QMH, DVH, and CDC as required by service requirements.

To provide a comprehensive, efficient administration support service, Supervising A&C staff in a senior supervisor capacity, producing correspondence and other documents as required, including work of a confidential / sensitive nature.

To be responsible for first line, day to day systems administration and related decision making for the radiology information system (appointments, phone calls and reception)

To support and assist the operational lead to capture relevant information for performance reporting. Responsible for developing and implementing appropriate database/s.

To provide administrative support to the development of new projects and pilots towards the intended outcomes.

Main duties of the job

To support the A&C lead in service development plans, as required.

To act as the senior Supervisor for the radiology A&C lead.

When required to assume responsibility for A&C radiology staff, in the absence of the admin and clerical lead, and assume all the responsibilities that this post requires.
