Job summary

Two part-time posts available for 25.5 and 32 hours

The post holder is responsible for providing all aspects of patient care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.

The post holder will carry out all forms of care without direct supervision and assist with the training and supervision of qualified and unqualified staff, under the guidance of the Senior Sister or her Deputy.

The post holder will manage a clinic area on a regular basis, and will sometimes be required to manage the department on an occasional basis.

Main duties of the job

Act as an advocate for patients, respecting dignity and diversity. Undertake all levels of nursing care, ensuring good communication skills both written and verbal. Maintain confidentiality at all times unless required to share for safeguarding concerns. Work as part of a large multi disciplinary team, ensuring patients needs are met with interpreters, sign language if required.

Act as a role model at al times within the code of conduct as a professional nurse within the department.
