Job summary
The role is a unique opportunity for a motivated HCP experienced in Simulation Based Education (SBE), to work in an interprofessionally focussed team, to deliver SBE across the Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust.
You will need to have a broad knowledge of medical and surgical care as well as an in-depth knowledge of SBE methodology and delivery.
Working within the Medical Education Department, you will manage a small team and will be supported by the Simulation Lead and Director of Medical Education in the development of the Simulation and HF Trust Strategy.
The post holder will need to liaise with a wide variety of professionals, both internal and external to the Trust.
Main duties of the job
We have a reputation for delivering In Situ simulation across specialties and you will need to coordinate and lead these sessions, as well as work with the rotating Fellows to deliver the core requirements such as, simulation to Foundation doctors and placement specific simulation to medical students.
A knowledge of Human Factors/ Ergonomics is required for the role and you will need to look for ways the Trust can develop HFE in collaboration with other departments.
Finally, you will need to advise those in the Trust about the use of Simulation and HFE and assist with the development of new programmes that help to meet the educational and practice needs to contribute to the safety of patients and development of staff at DGT.

Working closely with the Simulation Leads and Leads for Human Factors, the post holder will develop policies in relation to simulation and human factors in their widest context, developing educational strategies and completing funding applications and business plans to maintain the high standards for delivery of human factors, simulation and technology enhanced learning to promote high quality patient centred and safe clinical care.
To maintain clinical credibility and professional registration as a practitioner within the job holders professional body, such as the NMC, HCPC, etc.
