Our division has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to join the senior nursing team on Palm, our Respiratory Ward.
Working with the Ward manager and Matron, the post holder will need to demonstrate the ability to lead on the safe and prioritised care of patients with a range of respiratory conditions. The post holder will provide the highest standard of nursing care to patients and audit the service provided. The Respiratory ward is the largest inpatient area within the hospital, offering specialist care and various non-invasive respiratory support therapies to patients.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will provide effective leadership and be an enthusiastic, motivated, experienced nurse who is able to make a positive difference to the team. Training and development is available within the ward environment, however, you must have experience at Band 5 within an acute respiratory setting, possess excellent communication and documentation skills and an understanding of the impact of acute and chronic Respiratory conditions have upon a patients and families.
We have a strong focus on innovation and improvement to deliver the best care possible to our patients and work closely with all members of the multi professional team. As the ward team is multidisciplinary and crosses professional boundaries, you would be encouraged to undertake the learning of specialist skills and knowledge, be part of the development of a Respiratory Support Unit and other expanding respiratory services working to enhance and improve the care we deliver to our patients.
