Job summary
This post is a full time, two-year fixed term contract, starting in September 2023
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to undergo a two-year training programme leading to a national qualification as a Pharmacy Technician. The successful applicant/s will attend college to achieve the qualification.
To undertake a training and education programme through Apprenticeship funding. This will include a General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) approved qualification, the level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Apprenticeship. Candidates must ensure they are eligible for apprenticeship funding.
Main duties of the job
Experience will be gained by rotating through all the specialist sections of the pharmacy department including Dispensary, reception, stores, chemotherapy dispensary, Medicines Information and wards
Training will include classroom learning, online learning, practical training through shadowing and mentoring, alongside learning support from the education provider and the Education & Training team in the Pharmacy department and time spent writing assessments and assignments.
Study time will be allocated to the successful applicant who will join our friendly and motivated Pharmacy team.
