Job summary
The Outpatient Transformation Programme Lead will report to the Associate Director of Transformation and Delivery but be accountable to the SRO for the programme of work.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall leadership, planning, direction, coordination, implementation, control and delivery of the Patient Access Programme.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all Work Streams within the programme deliver quality, defined outcomes to agreed time and budget. This will include programme monitoring and scrutiny, establishing robust programme management processes, leading key forums, facilitating the resolution of strategic risks, issues and interdependencies and providing flexible targeted delivery support to clinical and management staff to support them in delivering their aims.
The post holder will provide expert leadership, advice and guidance in respect of 18 week processes and outpatient pathway management to members of the programme, divisional and corporate teams.
They will be required to manage the project within a matrix management framework and work with multiple senior internal and external stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, control and completion of the development of the Patient Access Programme.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring benefits are realised, working across a number of Divisions to agree the changes, working closely with the Project SRO and Executive Sponsor.
They will be required to manage a complex number of resources across a wide range of disciplines within a matrix management framework and work with multiple senior stakeholders across both organisations and external agencies.
The nature of the role demands a high degree of autonomy; with the post holder managing his/her own time and setting priorities for themselves and others. The post-holder must therefore be confident providing strategic and professional direction to a multi-disciplinary team of senior healthcare clinical and management professionals in an environment that is demanding, dynamic, and will provide ambiguity, conflicting priorities, and contentious issues that need to be addressed. It is a post of strategic and corporate importance to the delivery of both Trust's strategy and annual plan.
The role necessitates very high degrees of influencing, persuading and negotiating required both within and outside of the Trust to achieve required outcomes.

To understand in detail the work stream interdependencies and their impact and manage the interdependencies through programme management methods. To report on interdependencies.
To be accountable for the overall programme reporting and development of papers for team meetings, Executive Team meetings, Programme Board, Trust Board, Finance Committee, Quality and Safety Committee, Workforce Committee and other major stakeholder groups as required
