The Trust is seeking to appoint its Financial Controller, a critical leadership role in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency of its financial function across the NHS Trust and its subsidiaries.
The Financial Controller plays a critical leadership role in ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency of the Trust's financial function. In providing accurate, timely and strategic oversight, the role is instrumental in ensuring sustainable financial health - ultimately contributing to an improved care and patient experience and enabling the Trust to reach its ambitious strategic short and long term goals.
Main duties of the job
Reporting directly into the Associate Director of Financial Services, you will form a key part of the senior finance leadership team and will provide accurate, timely and strategic oversight and will be instrumental in ensuring sustainable financial health, responsible for:
Statutory Accounting and Audit Management
Monthly Close and Financial Reporting
Banking and Treasury Management
Financial Control and Operations Oversight
Budgeting, Cash Flow Forecasting and Strategic Planning
Regulatory and Tax Compliance
Corporate and Intercompany Governance
Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
The successful candidate will be a finance professional who is values-led; blends authentic, emotionally intelligent leadership with technical expertise, and has proven ability gained within a big audit practice or a large and complex organisational context. An accomplished leader who works collaboratively across all stakeholder groups and can engage, inspire, and influence at all levels.
