Job summary

Are you an experienced Band 5 scrub nurse looking to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting new vacancy for a Band 6 scrub practitioner in Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills providing leadership and clinical management advice to the multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to assist and deputise for the Band 7 in managing the day to day running of the operating theatre.

Main duties of the job

OS Deputy Team Lead

To work predominantly in the scrub role to support Theatre Sister / Team Leader(s) in leading and managingthe service within the department effectively and to deputise in their absence.To manage general resources, both personnel and financial, to ensure the effective operation of thedepartment.The post holder will provide skilled specialist assistance in the delivery of high-quality patient carethroughout the Operating Department. The post holder will be committed to providing research andevidence-based practice whilst working as part of, and leading a multi professional team.
