Specialty Co-ordinator for Infected Blood Psychology Service

Job summary

The successful candidate will need to be a compassionate, highly motivated and organised individual that will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the clinicians working as part of the newly developed Infected Blood Psychology Service (IBPS), as well as the psychologists in the Southern Haemophilia Network (SHN). This will include supporting admin links between patients, beneficiaries, their GP and treatments at HHFT and other Trusts.

Main duties of the job

This exciting, newly developed, role will include the below main duties:

  • Act as first point of contact for all forms of communication for the IBPS and SHN psychology team alongside the care navigator post holder.
  • Monitor the timetable of the team, taking an overview of the co-ordination of both clinical and other commitments.
  • Support the administrative pathway ensuring beneficiaries are seen in line with national KPIs.
  • Support with collection and coordination of data for SHN psychology service and IBPS.
  • To co-ordinate and be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the IBPS and SHN psychology team.
  • Day to day administrative management of the team's work including clinic outcomes and data collection requests.
  • To maintain an overview of the team timetable to support the achievement of national KPIs.
  • To provide data to the SHN data manager and national IBPS databases as required.
  • To arrange or action issues raised in clinic appointments when requested.
  • Arrange and prepare documentation / equipment for meetings, functions and conferences as required.
  • Take minutes of formal meetings and disseminate to the wider team, as appropriate.
