Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Respiratory team at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital. This is a full time, substantive respiratory consultant post with additional general internal medicine on-call responsibility. The appointed candidate will be expected to work cohesively alongside the existing Consultant team, supporting the severe asthma service and work alongside the established sleep disordered breathing team. We would therefore, be particularly keen to welcome applications from those candidates with a defined sub-specialty interest in severe asthma and those willing to develop sub-specialty expertise in sleep medicine.
Main duties of the job
The job role will comprise a mixture of inpatient care and day case procedure lists on the Winchester site with outpatient clinics undertaken from the Winchester and Andover sites. Successful applicants will work alongside the current severe asthma team to expand existing services and optimize care delivery for asthma patients.
