Job summary
Due to internal promotion, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to become the Clinical Matron for Cardiac Cath Labs, Cardiac Specialist Nurses, and the Cardiac Rehab Team at Hampshire Hospitals. We are looking for a senior nurse who has a passion for Cardiology with extensive experience to lead our committed and friendly teams.
You will be working in a fabulous new state of the art Heart Centre where we continue to expand the services we offer to our patients. You will need to demonstrate proven leadership and influencing skills whilst supporting the teams to provide exceptional care to our patients.
Situated within a Cardiology Department we run two Cardiac Cath Labs and Day case Units that provide highly specialist care to our patients including: Coronary Angiography, PCI, Complex PCI and CTO. Basic and Complex Pacing (including sICD & Leadless); plus a Electrophysiology service. We also deliver a 24-hour Emergency PPCI Service.
Main duties of the job
- Provide professional leadership and line management to a range of staff, holding 24-hour accountability for the care delivered within the departments
- Develop exceptional collaborative working relationships both within and outside the organisation that promote a culture of continuous improvement in quality and safety
- Oversee and support the delivery of high-quality care, safe and effective care focused on improving outcomes and experience for patients, families, and carers.
- Assist and lead in the implementation of the trust clinical governance strategy. Uphold the vision and values of HHFT. Working collaboratively with teams to manage demand, capacity, and patient flow within the services.
