Job summary
This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly pre-assessment team on the Basingstoke site.
The post holder will work as part of the Pre-Assessment Administrative Team to ensure the smooth running of the administrative workload:
Responsible for attending/ discharging patients coming into the unit onto the relevant computer systems
Entering data onto the Hospital ITsystems; PMS/Patient centre/ Nexus
Taking phone calls and dealing with any queries or transferring the calls the relevant people or Departments
To file all paperwork and request any outpatient appointments.
To collect /transfer and track notes
- Any other clerical duties deemed necessary

The pre-assessment service supports patients awaiting elective (planned surgery).

A friendly manner, excellent communication skills and team working approach are a must. As the first person to greet patients on arrival into the department, the post holder will responsible for ensuring our values are upheld at all times.
Being able to work under pressure and prioritise workload are key requirements of the post.
