Job summary
We require an enthusiastic person to work with the Medical Staffing and Education Team in a busy department.
You will provide a pro-active medical HR service for Postgraduate Doctors in Training maintaining the management of the rotational processes and advise on all aspects of the Doctors and Dentists in Training Terms & Conditions of Service and Trust policies providing guidance to medical staff, rota co-ordinators and operational managers on the correct interpretation of these.
You will be responsible for the timely and accurate data entry onto the electronic staff record system, liaising with payroll to ensure doctors are paid on time and that an efficient service is provided.
Good interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and attention to detail are essential; a flexible approach is required which includes working across both Basingstoke and Winchester sites.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a high quality specialist advice service for all Medical trainees, clinical leads/educators in the Trust and to work closely with NHS England Wessex on the provision of training rotations for HHFT
- To maintain standards in line with Trust and NHS England Wessex policies under the guidance of NHS Employers Code of Practice
- To provide a reliable and well informed service to trainees and managers and provide advice on, and interpretation of, all Medical & Dental Terms and Conditions, practices and procedures, where there may be barriers to understanding and a requirement for sensitivity
- To deliver a timely, accurate and customer focused service
