Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust aims to ensure that all wards and departments are always adequately staffed, by providing a pool of experienced and passionate Bank Healthcare Support Workers to support our provision of optimal care for our patients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for working specifically with our Bank Dementia Team at our Basingstoke site. We are looking for experienced and person centred carers with commitment to providing and maintaining our high standards of quality care.

Our Bank Dementia Team offers extremely flexible workings hours to accommodate a balanced home/work schedule - with a range of earlies, lates, twilights, nights and school hours.

Main duties of the job

Our Temporary Staffing Team provides comprehensive support, from the recruitment process to booking your first shift. Full induction and training will be provided for the role.

Our Trust uses electronic rostering, which, if it suits you provides the freedom to view and book available shifts online - via PC, smartphone or tablet - from the comfort of your home.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from Healthcare Support Workers with any of the following qualifications or experience:

-Care Certificate

-NVQ 2/3 in Health and Social Care

- Experience of working with patients/residents with Dementia 6 months minimum

-Nurses and Allied Health Professionals with lapsed registrations

Training and Qualifications

Essential

  • Literacy level 1 or equivalent (GSCE D-G)
  • Numberacy level 1 or equivalent (GCSE D-G)
  • ESOL Level 1 or equivalent (if English not first language)

Desirable

  • IT Literate
  • Literacy level 2 or equivalent (GSCE A-C)
  • Numeracy level 2 or equivalent (GSCE A-C)

Experience and Knowledge
