Job summary
We are delighted to advertise an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to work with the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (ICS) workforce team
We have a 12-month secondment/fixed term contract opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic & experienced pharmacist/nurse/AHP to join the Hampshire and Isle of Wight ICS workforce team leading on independent prescribing. You will need:
- To be an authority on educational resources for independent prescribing
- To have a good understanding of the funding streams available to support continuing education and development with independent prescribing
- Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills

Main duties of the job
- Scope and understand where our current IPs are across the system, and what networking and supervision opportunities are already in place
- Develop new opportunities to bridge identified gaps in supervision and networking.
- Work in collaboration with clinical specialists to map the current roles of IPs, and understand how they can be developed in line with relevant strategy. Demand is always high for IP courses - as a system we need to ensure our investment in upskilling is targeted to yield maximum benefit to our population in line with our strategic aims.
- Identify and support workforce priorities within the independent prescribing workforce
