Job summary
HHFT is looking for exceptional Mental Health Professionals with extensive experience who can support the Lead Nurse for Mental Health in the delivery of effective clinical support to ward teams to enhance the care to patients across all three of our divisions (Medicine, Surgery, Family and Clinical Support) and help us strive towards an outstanding model of care for people affected by mental health and their families.
The post holders will work in collaboration with system partners to support the Lead Nurse for Mental Health in developing the provision of care for people with mental health needs across HHFT. This is a newly established Nurse led service, which the successful candidates will play a key role in shaping and developing.
We are seeking to recruit senior professionals from a range of backgrounds, with the passion and tenacity to improve the care and safety of our patients. The service will provide a seven days a week service, providing expert advice, hands on role modelling and supporting best practice across all departments. Each Specialist Practitioner will play an important operational role in the delivery of effective mental health care but will also take responsibility in leading an area of specialism.
It's expected that you will have extensive mental health experience within your area of expertise and across a variety of specialisms or demonstrate skills and knowledge which are transferrable.
Main duties of the job
To contribute to the development and delivery of outstanding mental health care to patients across Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
To provide leadership, expert practice, education, specialist advice to support the safe, effective and high quality care of patients and families affected by mental health.
Support colleagues in the risk assessment, care planning and enhanced care and support of these patients, providing a 7 day a week service.

- RMN or Social Worker/ OT/RGN/RNLD/RSCN with demonstrable mental health experience and or relevant qualifications
- Evidence of mentorship
