You will be part of a well-established and highly regarded team within Hampshire Hospitals Foundation Trust, working within a MDT environment including medical staff, therapists and Clinical Nurse Specialists. You will be contributing to the development and delivery of this vital service working in collaboration with our hospital Palliative Care Team.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills, knowledge and confidence within our supportive team. Enabling you to become an autonomous practitioner demonstrating the ability to make clinical judgements using expert knowledge and skills, to provide the highest standard of holistic care for our patients and their families.

Main duties of the job

What we look for:

  • Someone who is enthusiastic about working patients and their families with complex palliative care needs in the community
  • Someone who is able to provide symptom management and psychological and social support to patients and their families
  • Someone who can provide education to Health care professionals, patients and their families
  • Someone who works well in a team but also able to work autonomously and has an understanding of community working or willing to learn

Who we are: The Palliative Care team operates across all Trust sites. This includes the hospice in Andover and the new hospice in Winchester and in Basingstoke we have a hospital and community team.
