Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dynamic individual to join the Surgery and Planned Care Division at the Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Performance and Operations Manager, supporting the Assistant General Manager to deliver high quality services.
Working collaboratively with the Clinical Lead, Clinicians and Matrons, the Performance and Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient management of the operational functions within one of the Division's Clinical business units.

Main duties of the job
- To effectively and efficiently manage the service's performance, ensuring the relevant standards are achieved and taking corrective action when required.
- To monitor the operational performance of the department, escalating issues where appropriate. This may involve the analysis and interpretation of complex facts or situations and may involve the comparison of a range of options.
- In collaboration with the Head of Service, ensure all performance indicators and national standards, such as Referral To Treatment (RTT), Cancer and Diagnostic standards, are achieved.
