Housekeeping Assistants - Savernake Hospital
These roles are offered on a part time basis as below, this means that candidates interested in working part time are encouraged to apply and will receive a salary on a pro rata basis.
We are looking for housekeepers to join our existing team to help ensure all areas are kept to the highest standard sat Savernake Hospital, Marlborough between Monday to Friday. We are looking for two part time roles as follows:
We couldn't run our sites without you and the fantastic work you will do keeping our wards, departments and areas clean, tidy, reducing the risk of infections and effectively helping keep our staff well and our patients safe.
Our people are working hard behind the scenes to provide safe, clean, well maintained environments for patients and their NHS colleagues during this challenging time. You will become part of a team who are passionate about supporting the NHS and its people in their vital work by keeping premises clean and safe.

Main duties of the job
As you would expect, we do have set cleaning standards and NHS guidelines to work towards, so whilst there is no experience required, we will fully train you on all of this. The work can be physically demanding and we don't shy away from this, however, we know that this will also be what motivates you.
The post holder will undertake cleaning duties throughout the sites, which will include clinical departments, offices, sanitary and communal areas. Empty, cleaning and relining general and clinical waste bins, segregating waste for disposal to appropriate holding areas.Of course we want you to be friendly, reliable and conscientious as this role isn't just about vacuuming and cleaning, it's about being part of a whole team of staff working together to ensure the best environment for our patients to receive their treatments.

- To undertake cleaning duties throughout the health care premise, which may include wards, clinical departments, offices, kitchens, sanitary and communal areas.
- To empty, clean and reline general and clinical waste bins, segregating waste for disposal to appropriate holding bins.
- To replenish supplies of soap, toilet rolls, paper towels etc.
- To undertake, as required, preparation of items for meal and beverage service such as the setting of tables, trays and trolleys, and the filling and dishwashing of water jugs clearing and washing themafter use.
